RRTS - Remove Redundant Trailing Spaces, vs. 0.0, by Jim Groeneveld, 12/2-91. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ===DESCRIPTION / FEATURES / LIMITATIONS=== This is a prototype program, not yet fully developed. A lot of features still could be added, but it serves its main purpose quite well. It's not buggy (!). It does what it pretends to do: it removes redundant trailing spaces from input files by writing to a different output file. Just plain DOS files, no use of standard input/output (yet). No actions on input file only (yet). Maximum line length upto more than 23000 bytes, though. Source contains many commented experimental lines. Extended subroutine for reading and interpreting DOS command line, incl. quoted arguments (not necessary here). No checks on files. Though theoretically possible practical problems with longer lines have been experienced using QBASIC 4.5; the algorithm (except for the command line argument routine) has been developed and tested with GWBASIC originally and found to work well with unlimited line lengths. For the moment no further development is expected as there are more functionally similar programs. Compressed with LZEXE vs. 0.91. Source contains outdated .sig. ===PACKAGE=== RRTS BAS 7049 2-13-91 0:00p Source (QBasic 4.5) RRTS EXE 37835 2-13-91 0:00p Executable (compressed) RRTS TXT 1940 2-09-93 0:00a This text file Centrum voor Medische Informatica TNO | | |\/| TNO Center for Medical Informatics | GROENEVELD@CMI.TNO.NL | \_/ | | | ( CMI-TNO ) | Y.
